Black Spruce

Black Spruce -  100% Pure, Unadulterated (undiluted/unchanged) Essential Oil

Size: 15 ml

Botanical Name: Picea mariana

Location: Canada

Extraction Process: Steam Distilled

Part of the Plant Used: Needle

Historically Native Americans have used Black Spruce to help with muscular pain, gingivitis and stomach infections. Because of Black Spruces high content of esters, it has been also used for its antispasmodic properties. Therefore, it is often added to saunas, hot baths and massages.

Black Spruce, also known as bog spruce, is native to Canada and a member of the pine family. It is found widespread across Canada and well known for its ability to grow in poor soil conditions. It is a slow growing tree that reaches an average height of 15 to 50 feet tall with a straight trunk. Its growth rate varies greatly with the climate it is growing in. In swampy areas, it grows slowly with shallow roots and is susceptible to windthrow. Black spruce is used mainly for its lumber and is also a popular Christmas tree.

Cypress Essential Oil

This variety of Cypress is also known as Mediterranean Cypress. It is a coniferous evergreen tree that can grow to 115 feet tall. It is a long-lived tree that can reportedly live to over 1,000 years old.
The tree has been cultivated for a millennia and can now be found many miles from its native area—including in Europe and in the US. It is interesting to note that the doors to the St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City are made of Cypress.
Throughout history Cypress Essential Oil has been used as an astringent, antiseptic, antispasmodic, deodorant, diuretic, hepatic, styptic, respiratory tonic and sedative substance.

Jamarosa ~ “Poor man’s Rose”

Do you love the smell of Roses? Many do, but the price of Rose essential oil is astronomical at nearly $250.00 for a small 5 ml bottle! So, what can you do to enjoy the scent of Rose without breaking the bank?

Try Jamarosa!

There are many reasons to choose Jamarosa over Rose, and price is only a part of it. Below are some interesting facts about the uses of Jamarosa essential oil:
http://www.goodthymeoils.com/product-page/eb6f576c-ca08-b10b-4c36-81f02c771786
·         regulates skin’s moisture
·         brings back luster to dull, aged skin
·         reduces wrinkles and other signs of aging
·         has disinfecting and antiseptic properties
·         reduces fever
·         helps insect bites
·         cleanses the blood
·         reduces nausea
·         helps to clear acne

You might be wondering if the smell is as appealing as Rose. The answer for many is yes! In fact, because of the process needed to produce Rose oil (most often solvent extraction instead of steam distillation), it produces a highly concentrated Rose that for many is unappealing unless highly diluted. On the other hand, Jamarosa has a wonderful sweet scent after simple steam distillation, that has a wider appeal—and there are no chemicals needed to extract the properties.

Jamarosa’s origins are a surprise for many. It comes from a grass hybrid of Citronella and Jwarankush. Though it may be new to you, it is not new to the perfume industry. It has been disguising itself as Rose for many, many years, but the therapeutic value of Jamarosa Essential oil has only recently been explored and recognized here in the US. The reason for that likely is that it was underappreciated due to the ease of production.

It is a hardy grass that can grow in good and poor soils. It is resistant to nearly all known diseases. Is does not require much labor to cultivate and harvest. It can be harvested 3-4 times a year and has a high yield. Because of these properties, Jamarosa is one of the less expensive oils. In fact, it can be found at Good Thyme Oils for $5.95 for a 15 ml bottle. That is less than 1/100 of the cost of Rose oil!

And now for the best news...

Bath, Bubbles and Essential Oils.

http://www.goodthymeoils.com/

Many people love to relax and soak their cares away in a bath. They find there is nothing more appealing than just lying back in a hot tube full of glistening bubbles and having the aroma of essential oils disperse around you—taking you to a world of relaxation and tranquility. Mr. James Kelly, our head formulator, has put together a fabulous all-natural, safe bubble bath formula that you will love and use again and again.

Bubble Bath formula: Use 4 cups distilled water, 1 cup of liquid castile soap (use only 100% pure soap) and 5 to 10 drops of single essential oil or blends of your choice. Place in a glass or oil-safe container and mix well. Run bath and add bubble bath blend after bath has been filled. Mix with hands to add as many bubbles as desired and enjoy.

For an extra moisturizing bath use; 4 cups of distilled water, 4 oz. liquid castile soap (use only 100% pure soap) and for added softness and moisturizing and 3 oz. coconut oil with 5 to 10 drops essential oil of your choice. Place in a glass or oil safe container and mix well. We recommend Lavender, Jamarosa root, Ho Wood or Amyris (poor man’s sandalwood). Run bath and add bubble bath blend after bath has been filled. Mix with hands to add as many bubbles as desired and enjoy.

After Body Bath Oil: 2 teaspoons Avocado oil, 2 teaspoons Sweet Almond oil, 2 teaspoons Grapeseed oil and 2 teaspoons Coconut oil. You can use equal parts to make a larger batch of oil to give away as gifts. Add your favorite essential oils or blends to the bath oil, mix well and store in a glass or oil safe container. Apply to desired areas. As for any essential oil, keep away from sensitive areas.
